Vita di Cyro
Language

Note
In the manuscript tradition, the work is dedicated to Ferrante I King of Naples. However, in 1475 Iacopo sent a copy of his translation to Ercole I of Este as well (it is unclear whether in that occasion the work was dedicated to the Estense ruler, or whether a copy of the text was simply offered to him as a gift, accompanied by a letter). Apparently, the duke of Ferrara sent the manuscript back to Florence, as he already had Matteo Maria Boiardo's translation of the Cyropaedia, and Iacopo's gift would have been waisted.
