- Annotations
-
Numerous marginal annotations by the main scribe, written in red ink; they are mostly in Latin, sometimes in the vernacular. They often express the need of checking "another exemplar" or "another Greek manuscript", see e.g. fols. 51v, 53v.
A later hand (late 15th-/early 16th-century) wrote another series of marginal annotations and a couple of corrections to the text. See all items with this value - Decoration

On the front pastedown there are two printed labels. The first reads "Francisci Caesaris Augusti munificientia"; the second "Gaddi 899" (ancient provenance and shelfmark). At fol. Ir there are two ancient shelfmarks: "G. 898", corrected in "G. 899", and "D 46".

- The manuscript belonged to the Florentine Gaddi Library (the provenance is indicated on the front pastedown: "Gaddi 899"). In 1755, the Gaddi Library was acquired by the Granduca di Toscana Francesco II (see above the label on the pastedown) and divided between the Laurenziana, Archivio delle Riformagioni and the Magliabechiana. This manuscript passed to the Magliabechiana.
