On the front pastedown: "Contenta: in primis Cosmographia mundi cum naturis arborum plantarum specierum diversarum de manu et studio magistri Johannis Free quondam socii aule sive collegii de Balliolo Oxon(iensi) et postea doctor professus in medicinis in universitate Padewe. Item epistole ad dominum papam Paulum de sex libris Tehodori Siculi poetice fabulando more gentilium. Ex dono venerabilis viri Willelmi Worcestre quodam scolaris aule Cervine de beneficiis domini Johannis Fastolffe militis de Northfolchia collegio Ballioli in Oxonia". Therefore, after being copied by John Free, the manuscript was owned by William Worcester (c. 1415-1482), fellow of the Balliol College.

The manuscript contains also an abbreviation of Pliny's Natural History (fols. 1r-150v). Bracciolini's translation is at fols. 151r-242v: it is not copied in full, but rather heavily summarised.
