Annotations
The manuscript is annotated by four hands: a) the main scribe added "notabilia" in red ink; b) a humanist hand added numerous corrections and marginal variants; c) a later humanist hand (15th century ex.) integrated some textual lacunae (e.g. fols. 17r, 93v, 116r); d) another humanist hand (15th century ex.) added 6 "notabilia" at fols. 129v-130r-v.
Marks of ownership, inscriptions and previous shelfmarks
On the spine of the binding there is a label with an ancient shelfmark: "Gabin. Γ Fila VI 1".
Incipit

Fol. 1r, Dedication letter to Pope Nicholas V, inc.: "Nullus antea quantumvis preclarus rerum scriptor fuit".

Explicit

Fol. 134v: "...barbaris plures ex eis tenuerunt quibus de rebus suo loco scribetur a nobis. Finitus XX° Maii anno 1471".

Notes
The manuscript belonged to Giuseppe Beltramelli (1734-1816), an erudite and bibliophile from Bergamo.
The type of humanist script and the watermark (Fleur similar to Briquet 6597 and 6599) suggest that the manuscript was written in Northern Italy.
